Meeting my Relatives

My father has stayed in Tokyo on business, and He and I went to Kawasaki-city to meet my relatives, his aunt and her husband. They are so impressive. They laugh lightheartedly, have lots of humor, but enbrace clear believes and perspectives toward their lives. After enjoying the visiting and saying good-by to them, my father went to an airport to go back to Hokkaido, and I stayed a short time in an area around Kawasaki-station. The pictures are the ones in the area, which has a flavor of, how do you say, post-modernism, or surrealism, though they cannot reflect the flavor because of my lack of technique to take pictures.

After that, i went to Shinjuku to eat a tasty ramen with my friend, and went to Temple to join editing committee. That is for collecting, editting, and publishing great grammar activities collected from ideas by Graduate students. Well i have to held a meeting one more, but the next one will be the last one before the anthology's publishing.

Graduation Test

I took a graduation test yesterday. Though the every test item i thought would be on a test was not on it, i basically wrote well. I felt relieved after that. I went to Monja restaurant with my classmates for New Years Party to share the relief of finishing the test, and gratidude for our cooperation with each other until now. Left picture is the original beer in Tsukishima area, and right one is prosperous street in Tsukishima with tonz of Monja restaurants.

Preparation for the graduation test

12/27 Today, it is rainy. It already has snowed here, so rain change the snow on road into ice! It means road become really slippery. The car and people have difficulty to walk smoothly. After studying TESOL-related stuff, I went to my favorite ramen shop I often went when I worked around here, but it was closed today. So I went to my favorite curry shop I keep on going from my childhood. The taste was satisfying, because the taste is just the same as that I ate before.

My way to Temple University.

The picture to the left side is ginkgo street near the Temple Univ in Japan. That day i went there is warm and shiny. Though it takes about 15 minutes, from the station called Azabujuban, that kind of day makes me enjoyable to walk to the grad school.

The picture to the right side is one from Shinjuku West exit. The statin is always crowded. I don't like crowds at that station, but it gives me some energy in a way, i guess. I always use this station, whether happy or not, the biggiest station in Japan, in terms of population who use this station in one day, the number is about 1.4 million. Incredible!

Well next day i will go to Temple is when i take Graduation test. Now i am preparing for the test. But i don't like to study just for test. I will focus on not gaining TESOL knowledge, but write well with sophisticated expression as other classmates use in essays.

Happy Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year for precious readers all over the world!

3 more credits

My mother and sister came to Tokyo on business, so i went to Shinagawa to meet them. It made me refreshed again. Shinagawa is one of my favorite places in Tokyo, as it has lots of diverse climate from various people around world. It is totally different from where i am now living. I cannot believe both is in Tokyo!

By the way, I need 3 more classes for graduation after i take graduation examination at the grad school. Really famous professor will be here to give a regular lecture. Though i am interested in his lecture, and what he will teach (on vocabulary), i will have to go back to Hokkaido by the end of march. And the lecture will last until April... I hope to spend my last month, March, for preparing next school year when i restart teaching after the sort of subbatical two years. So i am thinking of collecting credit from three lecture series.

But it is hard to collect 3 credits from three different classes as well as take one 3-credit-regular course. Especially, the first one i will take on research method sounds really hard for me, gueesing from the course description. but it seems intersting too, because it seems usefull for my future, and i won't get a chance to gain that kind of research skill after i go back to Hokkaido. And the two classess, builingualism, and reflective practice, respectively, also sounds intruguing for me, 'cause both are just what i have got interested in recently for various reasons.
